General School Description
Glen Cairn Public School is a community school hosting students in Grades JK to 8 located in the south-east section of London, Ontario. The Glen Cairn catchment area involves the area referred to as "Pond Mills" between Commissioner's Road on the north, Highbury Ave. to the east and the ravine area / railway tracks facing the south-west boundary.
Renovations to Glen Cairn P. S. in 1992 added 14 Classrooms, a Library, a double gymnasium, staff room and servery to accommodate the growing community. Presently there are approximately 580 students enrolled at the school. We continue to be a very multicultural hub and always look forward to welcoming new Canadians.
Glen Cairn is well supported by its' community and the Glen Cairn Community Center. We have a Before and After School Program and our Home & School and School Council meet monthly at the school to help provide input to school decisions impacting their children. Beyond the classroom and the pursuit of academic excellence, the staff is highly involved in a variety of student programs promoting athletics, leadership and social skills.
