2025-2026 Safe and Inclusive School Plan
Our school is committed to providing all students with a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment free from bullying and harassment that promotes respect, acceptance, and empathy.
Staff, students, parents and caregivers, and community partners will work together as a team to help make our school safe and welcoming for everyone.
The Safe and Inclusive School Plan highlights some of the key actions that our school community will put in place as part of our bullying prevention and intervention efforts.
Key Priorities and Goals
This year we are focusing on structures and routines within classrooms and the whole school community. We are doing this because we believe that structures and routines bring a feeling of safety to the school and provide the opportunity for students to learn.
We will also be focusing on bringing greater awareness to affirming the identities represented by our school community so that students feel seen, heard, and represented.
Key Actions or Strategies
- Gotchas to reward positive behaviour and demonstrations of our monthly character traits
- A focus throughout monthly assemblies of various traditions and celebrations that families in our community will be a part of that month
- Frequently review school routines, expectations, and structures with students
Community and Home Connections
- Ask your child about the character trait that will be focusing on this month
- Try pointing out times when your child is demonstrating the monthly character trait at home.
- Check out this resource about days of significance that may be important to students within our school community.
